Securing a job is essential to self-sufficiency. Through employment counseling, the ISC provides newly arrived refugees with the tools required to find jobs in the United States. Our Employment Development Specialist works with both job seekers and employers to make appropriate and long lasting placements that not only help refugees rebuild their lives, but address the staffing needs of local businesses.
ISC works with refugee clients to maximize economic opportunities and promote self-sufficiency. Extensive training and coaching are related but not limited to the topics below:
1. Orientation to the American Workplace
2. Job Readiness
3. Job Specific English Training
4. Employment for Economic Advancement
5. Transportation orientation and training- accessing public transportation
Our Employability Services develops and implements programming aimed toward economic advancement and self-sufficiency. ISC takes great care and attention to match refugees with appropriate and well suited opportunities.
